PyData Seattle × OSS is a community series bringing together data, AI, and open-source practitioners to learn, build, and collaborate around real-world open-source projects.

The meetup features technical talks, hands-on workshops, project showcases, maintainer conversations, and opportunities for contributors to work directly with open-source communities.

Topics span Python and the modern data stack, ML/AI infrastructure, agentic systems, evaluation, developer tooling, responsible AI, and emerging OSS projects.

The goal is to create a pathway from learning → contributing → maintaining → leading.

Whether you’re an experienced OSS maintainer, an industry practitioner, researcher, or someone making your first open-source contribution, this series is designed to help people find projects, collaborators, mentors, and meaningful problems to work on.
